These courses are an excellent way to learn the skills of mindfulness and to see the benefits that mindfulness can bring to your life. The courses combine both practical mindfulness exercises, embedded within a curriculum which provides a really useful understanding of how our habitual ways of living often exasperate our difficulties and how we can learn to deal differently with most challenges us, through mindfulness.
The courses are delivered over an 8 weekly period, with a single class per week (2.5 hours). There is also an day long workshop which takes place between the 5th & 7th week over the course. This day is an integral part of the course and provides you with an opportunity to practice mindfulness over an extended period of time. Those who have completed the course previously have found this day to be enormously beneficial. It is recommended that if you are considering taking the 8 week course, you ensure that you are able to attend the day-long workshop. This way you can make sure you are getting the maximum benefit from undertaking the course.
